PFAFF® Piping Foot

The piping foot is ideal for inserting pre-made piping into seams and along edges for a tailored finish. It also makes it quick and easy to cover cord with fabric and insert piping into seams, giving your projects a professional finish.

1. Set the overlocker to the desired stitch.
2. Attach the Piping Foot.
3. Place the piping along the seam line on the right side of the fabric. Place the second piece of fabric on top, with the right sides together.
4. Place the fabric and piping layers under the Piping Foot, with the piping positioned in the groove on the underside of the foot.
5. Sew the piping into the seam.
6. The groove on the underside of the foot will guide the piping as you sew.

1. Cut bias or crosswise grain strips wide enough to cover the cord, including the seam allowances.
2. Place the cord on the wrong side of the fabric strip and fold the fabric over the cord.
3. Place the fabric and cord under the Piping Foot, with the cord positioned in the groove on the underside of the foot.
4. Sew the fabric around the cord. The groove will guide the cord as you sew.
