PFAFF® Gathering Foot For Overlockers

Gathering is a classic decorative technique, made easy with this special foot. It’s perfect for sewing flounces onto cushions and curtains or for attaching gathered seams on children’s clothing. You can stitch and gather two layers of fabric at the same time, quickly and with ease.

1. Set your machine to a straight stitch with the needle positioned to the far left.

2. Place the fabric to be gathered under the presser foot, with the cut edge extending slightly to the right of the foot.

3. Insert the non-gathered fabric fully into the slot on the foot. The fabrics should be placed right sides together.

4. Guide the fabric while sewing, allowing the machine to pull the bottom fabric freely to create even, uniform gathers.
