How to make Spooky but Sweet Gift Pouches

With Halloween approaching, I was inspired to make some spooky sweet gifts for my Children. I came across these little ghost treat bags on Etsy that are perfect.

The project is completed in the hoop and is super easy and quick.

I used some white felt for the body as it won't fray and is quite stable, I only needed one layer of stabilizer on the front. I also used a small amount of clear plastic to create the see-through window.

I used my magnetic hoop for this project, which made it super easy to add the back layer in once I got to that step without taking the whole project off the hoop. I simply removed the magnets one at a time and placed the felt backing layer in place.

I changed up the suggested colours to just use traditional black and orange.

Once the embroidery is complete I cut out the ghost and added an orange ribbon to tie.

This one was definitely a winner with the kids!

It would also make really cute party favours or school classmates gifts.

I hope you get some time to squeeze in some spooky sewing!

Until next time, Happy sewing
